Our mission is to create awareness and help save lives by educating people about natural disasters. Anyone who accesses our website will leave it knowing that much more. Our target audience is ages 12 and above. Natural disasters have a worldwide affect that cause many deaths and millions of dollars of damage every day, month, and year. If you were caught in an area that was a natural disaster area would you know what to do? who to call? This site gives you the resources that you may need. It informs you about the natural disasters, where they most commonly hit, how to prepare for them, who to call if you are in need of emergency assistance, and what to do during a natural disaster that could save your or someone else's life.

Why we chose this subject:

We chose this subject because it affects many people worldwide. We wanted to try make a difference and help save lives. Knowledge is power and if you know what to do and when to do it, you can save your own or someone else's life. We focused on the safety of people and not just on the disasters themselves. We created a resource that people can turn to when they need information about a disaster; disaster hit areas or emergency numbers they can call if they are in that area when disaster strikes. So if you were to go on a holiday to a foreign country that was a disaster hit area you could go onto this site and find the information you need to have peace of mind and maybe even save your own life and those of your loved ones.
