ST FRANCIS OF ASSISI

St Francis was born in Assisi in 1182 and died in 1226. The feast day is on the 4th of October. This is the story of St Francis.

St Francis was a very poor man, he did the things that Jesus said and did with joy. Francis became the leader of all the young people of Assisi. He was obedient in what this prayer said: you have to learn to hate all those things that seem lovely and desirable to you, when you do it you can understand that those things are not good any more and those things that you thought were awful now they will bring you joy and happiness.
