(The following dialogue took place when the Team Crazy Frog met up after the submission of the Thinkquest project to provide feedback on this project)

Fu Kai: Well guys, after months of hard work, sending over 300 emails to one another and spending over 100 hours of research work on this project, we had finally finished it. Good Job To All of You!

Kevin: Well, being in this group and doing this research topic has really been a great experience for me. Not only do I now know more about the endangerment of amphibians that live amongst us, I have also learnt about how I can better work with my fellow group members and also more or less, have learnt some leadership skills.

Kai Yang: I am proud to say that this research project was a very fruitful one as I have learnt a lot as an individual. Through this research program I have learnt many skills and polished many old ones. Using all these skills we have solve and conquered many problems and obstacles.

Chen Xiang: Yeah! Amphibians! Amphibians! Amphibians! I have learnt a lot about amphibians! The world of amphibians is now endangered. At the start of this wonderful project, recall how shocked we were to learn about the declining populations of amphibians? We got together as a team and work our hearts out for it. However, I feel that it is worth it. The work, sweat and toil got us together as a team and we worked hard for a common goal. I have learnt many lessons about life from this project.

Desmond: Yeah I agree and I think some skills we learnt and mastered include communication and working with things that we are not exactly satisfied with.

Fu Kai: I think we had of course, acquired new communication skills. We learnt to communicate with other people and strangers from the outside world using the appropriate diction and tone. This is an especially important skill that we learnt and sharpened during our collaboration with the zoo. We need a strong command of English to be able to convey our ideas and opinions well across to the zookeepers and the staff of the Education Department.

Kevin: Exactly! As we go along conjuring up many reports, I realized that my English has gradually improved since the start of this year, when we formed our group and started our research topic. Thinking back, I would have regretted if I had not joined this group.

Kai Yang: Remember how all of us, being first timers, were clueless as to how to approach the zoo to collaborate with them. At this point in time if not for our teacher mentor, Mr. Kelvin Yap, who was instrumental in helping us communicate with the zoo at the beginning, we would even have been able to carry out this project.

Desmond: Yes, I totally agree. He put in a lot of effort but at the end of the day, it is our project and we have to do our own communication and research.

Fu Kai: Furthermore, all of us learnt better time management as well. We managed to plan our tasks that had to be completed until the date of submission. As this is a rather tight schedule since all of us had to competitions and other school homework, we were quite a little behind schedule at first, however, we managed to keep up on This is an important step when we are doing our project since we need to be on schedule and finish tasks on time. We managed to plan our things well and better estimation of time to keep up with the hasty and busy schedule of ours.

Kevin: However, at times there are really many problems surfacing at the same time, especially with the collaboration with zoo.

Kai Yang: I hope you guys really remembered when the zoo started to ask us to help them in their activities; we realized that none of these activities aided in our project and that the requests were very demanding. Therefore, we wanted to end the collaboration. However, it dawned on us that collaboration meant that we had to give and take. We also that we had to take as we gave meaning that when we agreed to do something we had look for parts in the request that would aid us in our project.

Fu Kai: However, we learnt to overcome these difficulties of unable to cope with the demands of the zoo and managed to come up with a splendid collaboration in the end, didn’t we?

Chen Xiang: Yes, however, there were inevitable quarrels at times but we managed to get over them though.

Desmond: Of course with technical problems to worsen the situation sometimes! In such cases, we just have to overcome it, and that is exactly what we have done as a team. At the same time, this gave me the skill of working and adapting to the things that I was not exactly in favor of.

Fu Kai: However, we managed to overcome the quarrels and got together as a team after every conflict. It also seemed as a blessing in disguise as the conflicts seemed to be bonding us even stronger together and we learnt much together. We should really thank Chi Chen also, our friend in Canada. She had helped us in getting much global perspectives of the subject, which were important and crucial to this project.

Kai Yang: Yes, she had been a really great help. We should meet her sometimes if there are chances.

Kevin: Other than global perspectives, which our dear Chi Chen had helped us through surveys she gave out, we also need advanced skills in Information Technology, mainly knowing how to create webpages. The unique thing designing webpages is that one not only has to have advanced skills in terms of computer applications and technology, but also great mastery in terms of art and design. A good webpage must be able to captivate its audience and make sure their attention does not get lost while reading the text on it.

Chen Xiang: Yes, that is indeed a necessity, we need someone strong in Information Technology like Kevin! I feel that as the group leader, the team has had a wonderful time together and has bonded well together. The meetings were productive and we worked well together.

Desmond:  Looking back, it seems that it was not long ago when we started on this project. However, as quickly as it began, the journey is coming to an end. So many memories will remain permanently etched in my mind.

Kevin: I believe that I have benefitted a lot from this competition, in many areas, not limited just to the competition, but also my experiences working with a group that can become hard to work together at times. I have learnt these skills, most importantly co-operating with other members, which will not leave my memory. These are the skills that will last a lifetime.

Kai Yang: The collaboration with the zoo was very fulfilling not because of the high points during the project nor because of the numerous problems we faced, but because of the solutions and lessons that we learnt from these problems.

Fu Kai:  Hopefully, in the near future, we would be able to have another collaboration with another institution or organization and also more of such fun-filling yet educational projects in the near future.
