Ficus benjamina

Ficus benjamina

It’s an evergreen plant. Its stalk is arboreal and it usually coils up to the trees to use them as shoulders. It has a sleazy, airy crown, which can grow 1.5-2m big. Its sprout is weeping, light green when it is young, but with time it’s getting darker, the edges became wavy.

Light claim

It likes the light full places, but don’t put in front of the sun because it can damage the leaves.

Heat claim

At summer keep it in a place where the temperature is about 18.20°C. It is very sensitive to draught, the leaves can start to fall down.

Water claim

Water it moderately. When it is growing, give it nutrient solution in every 2 weeks. The best for it is when we give it lukewarm water.

Humidity

It needs to be sprayed often. If it is kept in a warm place it needs to be watered often.

Illnesses

The moulds usually attack it, and then the colour of the leaves are turning to yellow and then the leaves start to fall down.
