Field Hockey has very many hits. The three main hits are:
Most hits are used the whole game. If you want to hit the ball far you would use the drive, or the sweep. The drive is when you have your hands in the middle of the grip, and you take a big backswing and hit the ball and try to make it to the other teammate. The sweep is when you “sweep” the stick on the ground and hit the ball with the middle part of your stick. There are also hits that don’t go to far but there good for short passes. They are:
The one hit that you use mostly to score is the ariel. The ariel is a lift that you use and you can lift it as high as needed. But it can only go above heads if no one is around. Those are the most used hits of field hockey.
