Almost all countries have at least a small portion of the population who are obese. China and North America contain the largest percent of the population that is obese. According to BBC News, "Between 1992 and 2002, more than 60 million people became obese." Even some of the most malnourished regions of the world, such as the Middle East, have obesity as a problem.
Another region of the world that has a problem with obesity is England. A NAO report claimed, "Today, the prevalence of obesity in England had tripled over the last 20 years and continues to rise." These are only a few of the many countries that need help to solve the global problem of obesity.
