The New Space Race
"...today's cell phones are far more powerful than the computers on the Apollo Command Module and Lunar Module..."
--Neil Armstrong, Apollo 11 astronaut and the first man to set foot on the moon.

This website captures the sense of how space exploration has changed over time. Not all that long ago, there were only two space programs: in the U.S. and in Russia (then the Soviet Union). Today there are programs in many other countries as well as private companies devoted to space exploration. We created this website to benefit students like us and help them learn about space in the past, present, and future. You could go to the internet, research Space Tourism (for example) and find a lot of articles. However, not many of those articles are in a language that can be understood by kids. What our team tried to do is write about space exploration in an easy-to-understand way. In this site you will find information about the early Space Race, Apollo missions, and other historical events. But you will also learn about space exploration right now and in the future. This includes reports on space tourism, space hotels, and other ideas that are just now in development. Because our site is on the web, our site has videos, games, interviews, and other web-based features that are useful to the learning experience.
