An oil Spill happen when people make mistakes like there are not being careless with the tankers. They are also many other ways oil spills happened but the main idea is that they are not being caefull with their tanks.When boat materials break down it causes that they make an oil spill.When people make holes on a boat it makes leaks wich brongs out to oil in the water
How does it hurt the Environment?-
Oil Spills make some products we can use everyday but it makes some harmful things that hurt the environment like every oil spill that heppends goes to rivers,bay and more to the ocean;so that provides accidents.These accidents include tankers,barges,pipelines and refineries.
How are oil spills cleaned up?-
Most of the time oil spills are cleaned up by volunteers. They sometimes decidet to choose volunteers that want to help the environment be safe.In a couple of cases experts on oil spills they help out on cleaning but they do something so the sun evaporates the oil; they sometimes decide to leave a spot of oil silk alone so the silk doesnt threaten more.
The oil spills affect many birds, it mostly affects fishes,seals,and marine mammals.The oil affects them the most because those are animals that live in the ocean and they get contaminated the most out of the rest of the animals.
In cases of the oil spill, the oil can damage boats or other fishing equipment such as floating nets and traps. Fishers had been unable to fish because of the water that has been polluted.
Today we are having many oil spills and we all believe that it is a major problem because many sea birds and ocean animals had been killed. As well, there is a lot accidental oil spilling and it cause vandalism or terrorism. Attacking a country's oil field can cause a vast oil silk and toxic black smoke and poison people and animals. That makes it to clouds which then it makes it to acid rain; so even if the forger smoke gets high and that can effect the weather .

Every time oil gets mixed with the air and weather (people sometimes call it
weathering). About one third of the oil will evaporate in the last 24-48
hours, and the rest may form into sticky oil in water.
-Causes Of Oil Spills-
Oil spills can be caused from the exploration,drilling,industrial leaks, or
probably accidental spills from tankers and pipelines. Some of the tankers
can carry about 551,000 tins of oil; and if those tankers have an accident
that oil can spill to the sea and it can affect the animals in the ocean
.
-Pouring Oil In Troubled Water-
Pouring oil on troubled water was a good thing before. But now we think that
oil and water shouldn't be mixed. Every time oil spills happen the oil spill
gets carried away across the oceans were other spills happen. During storms
and barrel, ships have been sinked when they are full of oil. When people know
that oil has spilled sometimes the thick globs of back goo that its actually
tar balls and they actually show up on beaches. Some people don't care about
the air pollution after it leaves the air area, they think that it has nothing
to do with them. When oil spill happen, it doesn't just go through one ocean,
it actually goes around the world.

Oil is another word for crude oil, which is an oil is a raw state, to proceed
products such as gasoline and or diesel fuel. All of those projects are
mixture of hydrogen and carbon, which also mean hydrocarbon. Some oil is
found near the surface of the earth, but mostly has to be drilled from
rocks that are deep below the surface of the land or sea.
Everyday there are 13 billion litters of oil and and it transports
38 billion gallons of oil that comes form the sea. Each time
oil transfers from the
sea. Each time oil transfers from one place to another, there is a risk
of oil spills.
-How Oil Spills forms -
When oil spills happens like on sea, it will float because its lighter
than water. It begins to form into a thin slick and later on it starts
to fall apart
or break up. Most oil spills are a result to be accidental. For example a
tanker colliding with a ship or spreading around a shallow water. The
oil spills happens
for the reason of people. They sometimes make mistakes, others are caused
by natural disaster for example storms earthquakes or maybe vandalism.
--Land And Island--
Many and most of the oil gets spilled on land , and then it goes to regular
fresh water and lastly it goes to the river. Oil gets spilled and when people
add gas to there car the hose drips when they had removed the tank. Oil spills
every day form pipelines that carry oil across the nation. Oil onto highway
and they're car have lots of leaks. They are trucks that carry gas to the gas
station and if they have an accident oil spills all over. Also cars can have
an accident and most of the time oil leaks. Well something wring with that
is that when oil spills to the ground they have to wash off the concrete with
fire hose so it can be cleaned up.
-Oil and drinking-
About a quarter if us in North America drink water from the ground. Every time
it rains the water seeps down into the ground water. So most of the water
is not purified before its used, so if it contains oil people drink oil.
Liquid products are from tankers to pipelines to some factories probably
tank trucks and to the gas stations, to cars. Each time it an be spilled.

One of a biggest oil spill was The San Francisco Bay Spill. Another one was
The Exxon Valdez Spill.
-Oil Spills in Spain-
On a Friday in September 14,2002 an oil spill had happened and some people
volunteer to help clean up the mess that the oil spilled made. They ended
up finishing in November 2002. Each time there is an oil spills that happeneds
it spills about 67,000 tons of oil. Its also combined more than 1,000 k.m
of a coastline.
-- Major oil spill accidents--
Major oil industrial happened since March 1982 for example some injuries where
a field of North Sea broke and it had killed 123 people another example can
be during the years of 1980-1982 81 people all because a ship full of oil sinked
down and an oil rig Ocean Ranger keeled over in North Atlantic and had killed
84 people. Also in February 1894 there was one 1 guy that got killed in an
explotion that happened in Texas in the Gulf of Mexico. During August 1984-1985
36 workers had been drowned in an explosion and fire on another ship that was
carried away with oil also during september 1988 one person was killed while
66 other people where injured and rescued on an explotion of flames that happened
in the North Sea.
