Below is the graph that shows the number of AIDS diagnosis, deaths of persons whith AIDS, and persons living with AIDS from year 2001 to year 2005 in America. We can clearly see that in most cases, the numbers have risen each year and we predict that they will continue to rise each year. We notice, and are unclear, as to why the deaths of persons with AIDS gets higher and lower each year, but we predict that the number varies because there isn't a certain amount of time length that you can live with AIDS and some people get the treatment and some poeple don't. We see that AIDS diagnoses goes up every year and we believe that this is because as the years go by, our technology gets better so it may have got easier to diagnose and tell if someone has AIDS or not and the same for persons living with AIDS.
Graph From: --Department Of Health And Human Services, Cdc. "Basic Statistics." Center for Disease Control and Prevention. 28 June 2007. <http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/surveillance/basic.htm>. This graph compares the estimated number of AIDS in the U.S for different races/ ethnicities from the year that AIDS started untill 2005. As you can see, African Americans have the highest estimated cases of AIDS in the year 2005, and Caucasians have the second highest number. Also Hispanics, Asian/ Pacific Islanders, and American Indian/ Alaskan have the lowest number of estimated AIDS cases in 2005. We think that this is because there is a larger population of blacks and whites in America then Hispanics, Asians/ Pacific Islanders, and American Indians/ Alaskans so there will obviously be more cases of HIV in the ethnicities that there consist. We estimate that after the years the number will go up becuase more and more of the different populations will come to the U.S.
