AIDS Around the World |
There
is about 233,600 women living in the world with AIDS and about 293,800
men
living
in the world
with
AIDS. Almost 120 million people are affected
with AIDS in China by having unprotected sex with an HIV affected person
or by being born from their parents who already have it themselves. Svalbard
(a country in mainland Europe) happens to
have
no one
suffering with AIDS. That is because no one has ever traveled that far
and also because there are not very many people living in that country.
There are a lot of countries, cities, and states suffering with AIDS. Here are some places that are suffering with HIV/AIDS. In Africa, there are 5,300,000 people who have HIV/AIDS, and in the United States, there are 950,000 people with AIDS/HIV. In China there are 840,00 people suffering from AIDS/HIV, and in Mexico, there are 160,000 people living with AIDS. Another Country is Italy, where there are 140,000 people. All of these people unfortunately suffer with AIDS every day. AIDS around the world has became a very big problem because now too many people are dying. Sources: Global Initiative On.
