All over the world, people have to wake up every morning with AIDS. They have to struggle to work and make a living while facing this deadly disease. AIDS affects about three out of five people in Africa. They aren't able to do every day things and live regular lives. Although the rate of AIDS in Africa is so high and common, many kids that have AIDS or HIV get teased at school everyday about it. They are also sometimes told to get away from all of the other students as if the other students will catch the disease just by being around the kids who are infected. Many kids aren't even able to attend school because they aren't able to pay for the medication needed to treat the disease so it only gets worse.

AIDS is a very large problem in Africa, though it also affects people around the world. There is an antiretroviral treatment that doesn't cure AIDS, but it does prevent the duplication of the virus. Unfortunately many people in South Africa aren't able to have the treatment because they are too poor or they just don't have it available for them. Due to this, it is very common for people to die of aids and leave their friends and family behind. One in four adults are affected by aids and almost 71% people between the ages 15-49 have died due to AIDS. After so many deaths, many cemeteries are running out of room to keep the bodies. The results of a survey said that South Africans spend more time going to funerals then doing normal every day activities. HIV is leaving a huge scar on Africa, and in general, the whole world.
