Mob Mentality

Mob mentality is where you think something is right but you don't stand up for it because you are afraid of the outcome. In which case you go with the flow. A example of mob mentality is the story Cathy James by Wally Lamb. This is a good example because there was a mentally ill boy who is getting nailed by coins in the story. Most of the people didn't like what they were doing but they didn't do anything because they didn't want to get bullied on. You should never be sucked in to mob mentality you should always help someone else. Would you want someone to help you if you were being bullied on? This is a example of sitnation where you should not be sucked into mob mentality. There is a fight going on a 5th grader against a 7th grader and it is totally unfair. Everyone is yelling FIGHT FIGHT. You should go and tell the teacher and say that there is going to be a fight instead of becoming part of the crowd and yelling fight fight.
