Emo is short for EMOTIVE (not emotional) because it is tied with the music created in the 80's. Don't get me wrong, the music isn't what Emo is, we just stole the name. People who are Emo or Scene are usually thought to be depressed but we are probably like that from all you people who tease us about that and think of us as whiny pushovers. We are more angst than sad. No. That is not Emo or Scene...

We might be defined as Teen Angst... that's somewhat true... But Emo is more like an edgy lifestyle that doesn't involve crying or cutting. It's about standing out an being different. It's a fashion statement... and this speech is cheesy!!! :D
