Although modern society promotes tolerance, it seems that not all of its members share these views of the world and their peers. Although the Rroma minority is one of the largest in Europe and Romania, they are still suffering from discrimination from the majority of population, who cannot seem to be able to let go of prejudices and accept them as normal people with normal needs. Our site was intended to offer people another perspecitve on Rroma culture and life, and all which they have had to deal with throughout the years. We know that this problem is a delicate and complicated one, but, just like all modern problems, it must be dealt with. We do not expect our site to change the world, or to be the answer to this vast issue, but it may spark the mind that will find a solution and the dedication necessary to apply it. Furthermore, as citizens of Romania, we constantly come in contact with Rroma people and better understand their situation, without political influences and interests.
