Formed on August 2, 2002, Club Deportivo Chivas USA is a counterpart of the Club Deportivo Guadalajara team in Mexico. Unlike other Major League Soccer teams, Chivas has brought a vast number of Latino supporters. With the values of passion, competitiveness, inspiration, heritage, and a feeling a sense of community, Chivas has achieved remarkable success in their first seasons. With many different players from dozens of various nations, Chivas is a diverse and dynamic team. In three years, Chivas USA has reached the Western Conference Semi-Finals. In addition, the individuals on the team have been recognized. Jonathan Bornstein won the Rookie of the Year in 2006, and Coach Bob Bradley and Coach Preki won the Coach of the Year in 2006 and in 2007.
