Bolton FC Team Biography
Founded: 1874
Nickname: The Trotters
Pitch: The Reebok Stadium
Capacity: 27, 879
Sponsor: Reebok
First founded as Christ Church FC in 1874, the members of the team changed their club name to the Bolton Wanderers in 1877. Like many other teams, they were one of the twelve original founders of the Football League. Many chances appeared for Bolton to capture FA Cup titles, yet they were only able to win four trophies in this particular competition over a one hundred year span.
Coming very close to winning the League Cup Final, they lost to Liverpool, and experienced similar results as they were defeated by Middlesbrough in 2004. The Trotters best place finish in the Premier League, however, is only eighth.
