Hi! My name is Maurizio Ditillio. I live in Merida, Venezuela. I have one brother, named Paolo. My dad is second generation Italian/Venezuelan, and my mom is Venezuelan. I go to the LaSalle Catholic School. I am ten years old and I am in the fifth grade. My school is private and goes through kindergarten to the twelfth grade. It is very big and has three buildings and many soccer fields. The school day starts at 7:00 and it ends at 12:00. You have to bring breakfast, so usually I bring and eat a cachito, a salty pastry that is filled with cheese, and juice.
The subjects I study are Mathematics, Castellano [Castilian/language], English, and Gym. At recess I like to play, escondite [hide and seek], and to jugar futbol [play soccer]. I also like to hablar [chat with friends]. My favorite game is escondite [hide and seek], though. In the afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00, y play tenis, [tennis]. I like to read stories, like one of my favorites, The Little Prince, by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry. When I grow up, want to study medicine and become a doctor. My favorite food is the Cheeseburger at McDonalds’s. I love to play computer games, and watch “
“Ben 10” on T.V. I have a gameboy, an i-pod shuffle and a cell phone that I take to school. On T.V, some of my favorite shows, include: “Pokemon”, and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”. I think that American children are probably friendly and have fun. I would really love to move to the United States because I have heard it is a beautiful country. I would like to say to American children that they need to learn more about us, because some think that Venezuela is part of Mexico.
