All
team members were involved in the selection of the
general topic for this project. Each member selected a sub-topic and
performed research in order to develop their part of the project.
In an effort to gather information for the project, the team was allowed to take a field trip to the National Weather Service Office in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). During this field trip, students formed relationships which proved most beneficial as they worked together as a team during the entire project. Team members worked after school, often on a weekly basis, in the school computer lab. Often, team members shared ideas and suggestions as they developed their research together. After the research phase of their project was complete, team members began preparing power point presentations. Students shared ideas and strategies in order to make their presentations as effective as possible. Team members also shared responsibilities in the preparation of their video demonstrations and experiments. They assisted each other in a collaborative effort in the production process of the videos. In addition, team members collaborated as they shared ideas for individual artwork that was used in the project. Some were more "artistic" than others and helped guide each other along the way. Students worked together with anticipation as the final product began to take shape and continued to work diligently until the project was complete.
