What is an Elephant?
A trunk, baggy gray skin and a few thousand pounds of bone and tissuse and blood.
An elephant is also defined by its behavior. Some behavior is learned and some is instinctive. Elephants have been known to adopt abandoned baby elephants, to care for the sick and injured, and to communicate with each other over long distances. If we don't build enclosures that allow elephants to behave naturally, are we really seeing an elephant?
