Captive Breeding

Technology meets Mother nature in captive breeding facilities. Tissue, sperm, eggs and embryos are taken from some of the world's most endangered animals. They are stored in very cold, protective freezers. Animal survival plans are created and made to match captive animals for mating and also help to create a healthy gene pool. There is much debating about the achievement of captive breeding facilities. while many scientists think these cryogenic facilities are the best way to help endangered animals survive, others think they can't be saved with just captive breeding. Many scientists are also worried that some animal species are not being included in the program.
