Do you think keeping animals in zoos is good? Well I do not. I think they are brutal.

Animals that live in zoos are not able to have some advantages of being in their natural environment when animals are in zoos they do not get the relationship with other animals. For example, rhinoceros get ticks. When they are in the wild tick birds eat the ticks, but in zoos it is harder for them to get that kind of relationship. Investigation says that aquatic animals remain under water for 30 minutes at time. In aquariums the water is so shallow that captive orcas and dolphins spend at least half of their time on the surface.

Removing an animal from its natural habitat can be detrimental to its health. There are many animals that have died in a 4 months because of drastic changes in their lifestyles.

In zoos some training methods used include beating the animal and taking food away from them if they don not perform tricks correctly. Animals in aquariums are forced to perform in a few shows a day. Would you like to be forced to perform in a few shows a day?

In zoos there needs to be more room for animals. For example, cheetahs, they like to run, and in zoos they do not have enough room in zoos. When animals are in cages they often get bored with such little to do. Also when I have been in zoos I have been in zoos I have seen tigers pacing, which means they are mad. Zoos often provide the animals with limited enclosures.

Zoos frequently have trouble with breeding animals. Many zoos will breed to many animals and end up with an abundance of babies. A lot of those babies have to be given away or sold.

So now you know how I feel about zoos. They are unfavorable to animals and I hope you feel the same way.
