To explain the history of computer art is a difficult and complex matter. You see, traditional art began transforming
slowly but steadily into what we know today as computer art. I suppose to help explain this history we must start at
the computer. The very first computer was made in 1945. It weighed 30 tons and filled an entire room. Despite all
this, it could only calculate and run the smallest of programs. Since then, as everyone knows, computers have
advanced considerably and now possess the ability to do many things. Recently, the true potential of computers
generating art has been fully realized and is becoming more and more popular. The first competition for computer art
was held in 1963. After this, people began accepting computer art just like traditional art. In 1965 the first exhibition
was held. Finally, after many years of development, encouragement and improvements, the virtual Museum of
Computer Art (MOCA) was established in 1994. Today, artists use computers to create beautiful fractals,
imaginative three-dimensional scenes, and awe-inspiring colorings.
