Fighting Prejudice

First of all, please allow us to make clear the purpose of this project: we do not pretend that we have the ability to make a complete analysis of this phenomenon; we do not accuse anybody of discriminating others, nor do we offer the perfect solution to eradicate this problem.
This may be solved only through appealing to our consciousness, education and good will of every single being. Therefore, our purpose is to make people understand that all in all we are not as different as we think to be.
It all started during a class of “Human Rights”, when a simple teacher-student discussion made us realize that discrimination represents a violation of the human rights, affecting the victim’s dignity, self-respect, lowering his life standards and expectations as well as provoking pain, isolation and even creating violence among each other.
We have understood it is also our responsibility to get involved, therefore we’ve collected information, talked to specialists in the matter, interviewed people and asked their opinion, made video presentations about the subject and, in the end, we managed to place all our research on an internet site, so that it can be more accessible to everyone.
In conclusion, we can only hope that people will be receptive to our initiative, because each of us can be somehow judged from a certain point of view.

Socially, sexual differences have been used to justify societies in which one sex or the other has been restricted to significantly inferior and secondary roles. In fact, there is little agreement on what can be considered as a justification...

Disability discrimination

People with disabilities face discrimination in all levels of society. The attitude that disabled individuals are inferior to non-disabled individuals exists for long and already lead to some excessive violent acts against disabled people...
