Tropical monsoon forests

A less distinct 3 layers

Tropical monsoon forests comprise of a less distinct three layers. With trees up to 30 metres tall, the top canopy layer supports lianas, epiphytes and climbing plants. The middle woody shrub layer reaches a height of 15 metres. The ground layer of shrubs and undergrowth receives ample sunlight to support the growth of shrubs, ferns, palms and bamboo.
