Species
Many species of trees can be found here. A common type of mangrove tree in South-east Asia is the Avicennia tree that protects the mud banks.
Another mangrove tree, the Bakau, is important for the charcoal industry. From here, we can see the diversity of plants living in the mangroves and many of them may not have been discovered yet. |
