Mangrove Forest

Increasing survival of their offspring

To ensure the survival of their own kind, mangroves have seeds that can float on the water and seeds which germinate before being detached from the parent plant. Then it forms a propagule which can produce its own food during photosynthesis. Upon maturity, it detaches itself and is scattered to a favourable environment. A propagule floats horizontally until it is ready to take root. At this time, its density changes such that it floats vertically to allow it to lodge in the mud.

We are sure that this will be extremely interesting to you as you might not be aware of all these facts. This shows our ignorance towards what can be learnt from the forests and thus we have to save our forests to ensure that we are able to learn even more before it is too late.
