Distribution
Mangroves have adapted to thrive in the inter-tidal zones.
Mangrove swamps are found in Kenya and Madagascar in Africa. They are also found in the west coast of Costa Rica. In Central America, mangrove forests also thrive well.
You can also find them on the coasts of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and all the Southeast Asian countries.
The Sundarbans, located in the Ganges delta, is the largest mangrove on Earth. |
