Silviculture
Silviculture is a way of controlling the growth and quality of the forests to meet the needs of consumers on a sustainable basis.
For example, choice seedlings can be grown in a selected area. This allows for a cheaper and easier extraction for timber. This prevents unnecessary deforestation. |

The Preservation of Wildlife Corridors
Some countries, like the United States, still have the opportunity to help plant and animal species survive by preserving wildlife corridors. These corridors will be beneficial in countries which are undergoing intense uncontrolled deforestation. |
