Eco-tourism

One way to stop forest fires is to conserve forests susceptible to fires into nature parks. The locals can adopt eco-tourism and sustainable forest practices as a livelihood. It is a win-win situation for the government as this will not only help to solve the problem of unemployment but also in the economy of the country.

For instance, the Arbor Day Foundation’s Rain Forest Rescue program is a charity that buys and preserves rainforest land with money that is donated to it. This prevents logging by logging companies and hence helps to preserve forests.
