About 1 km offshore from the south-western region of the state of Johor, Peninsular Malaysia, is a small mangrove island called Pulau Kukup. Mangrove wood was extracted here for charcoal production many years ago. This place offers nature lovers a chance to enjoy the mangrove forest and its biodiversity.
Nature reserve
It is a State Park under the jurisdiction of the Johor State Park Corporation. It promotes preservation of the great biodiversity, eco-tourism sector and research on the biodiversity. This is certainly a great travel destination to any nature lovers.
