Fisheries

Introduction

Forests are important for the fisheries industry. Rivers and streams are the main source of fishing. Forests control the stream flows as it stores a lot of water. Forests also provide a shade for the aquatic plants that fishes feed on. Mangrove swamps are habitats for many fish, shellfish and shrimps.
