Pollution as a result of coal-fired power plants

Many paper mills require a lot of energy to operate. Coal-fired power plants that release mercury, arsenic and radioactive emissions provide the energy that is needed for these factories. Paper making requires a great amount of water too. This diminishes the ground water supplies. The next time you write, draw or print on a piece of paper, think about what you have just learnt.
