Pollution as a result of waste products
The paper industry causes deforestation as well as pollution. It is a major source of accumulated toxins such as toxic solvents and chlorine compounds in the rivers.
Pulp and paper mills also produce large amounts of air pollutants that contribute to acid rain, global warming and respiratory problems. As the demand for paper increases, we are putting ourselves at the expense of these hazardous pollutants. Do we want to live in such a polluted world? Use paper and its products sparingly. You can do your part to save the world. |
