| The members of “Forest Buddies” are Nicholas, Rui Jin, Samuel, Bryan and Fang Hui. Nicholas is from the National University of Singapore High School, Rui Jin and Fang Hui are from Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore, while both Bryan and Samuel hail from the Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Singapore. Rui Jin, Bryan and Samuel were primary school classmates from Anglo-Chinese Primary School, while Nicholas came from Henry Park Primary School and Fang Hui came from Nanyang Primary School.
Rui Jin, Bryan and Samuel thought that it would be a great way to keep in touch. Nicholas was invited to join as he came from another school and that would bring another perspective to the website. Fang Hui was recruited to help to create special effects in the audio-visual department. Bryan, Samuel, Nicholas and Rui Jin are good in research and writing. Samuel was keen to try his hands at creating crossword puzzles and surveys. Bryan’s father and sister also have some experience in doing surveys, so he was able to get some tips on the surveys from them. Fang Hui who has taken lessons in audio-visual effects was roped in for video-making and creating special audio-visual effects. Rui Jin is good at creating and designing web-sites and flash. Rui Jin also likes to organize outdoor trips and take photographs for the website. He has an uncle who travels widely and contributes many relevant photographs to the web-site. Samuel also travels widely and has contributed some of the photographs in the website. Nicholas knows how to make slide shows. With our diverse background, knowledge and skills, we formed a great team and managed to develop this website which we hope will help to create awareness in the area of deforestation. |
