| Introduction |
| Hi, I am Loo Fang Hui. I am 14 years old and I attend Hwa Chong Institution in Singapore. I am Rui Jin’s classmate currently. Joining the team Rui Jin approached me for help with regards to the audio-visual effects for the Thinkquest website that his team is creating. Upon his invitation, I jumped at the chance to participate in this prestigious international competition. I have heard about the Thinkquest competition for a long time, so I am delighted to join this team which is creating a very meaningful website. Teamwork My main task is to do the audio-visual part of the project like the video and to enhance it by adding the audio aspects. I did this together with Rui Jin after school and we managed to come up with the video script and produce it within a short span of two weeks. Collaboration I mainly worked on editing the audio-visual components of the website. Rui Jin explained to me what was needed and we came up with the script as soon as we could. Learning journey Apart from honing my video audio editing skills, I learnt about the importance of forests, the reasons for deforestation and the effects of deforestation. I was shocked at the rate deforestation is happening. That spurred me on to work even harder on this project. I hope I am able to do my part well to help to create a better awareness with regards to the dilemma faced by the need for deforestation. Thanks! This project has been a whole new experience for me. I would like to thank our coach and my teammates for making it possible. |
