Methodology

The project has been carried out with regards to various aspects, which are documented here.

  1. Beside beginning on our project, details such as our project focus and objective are finalized. The confirmed timeframe for research is used as a yardstick for our research.

  2. The process of data collection can be devided into 2 categories. The first category would be the collection of data from primary sources. We arranged an interview with Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) Associate Professor Geoffrey Benjamin in order to gain new perspectives in viewing conflicts around the world. The second category would be acquiring secondary sources. Through books from the library and scholastic articles from online resources, we have managed to gather a substantial amount of information regarding civilizational conflicts and identify possible trends.

  3. In order to introduce readers to a new perspective in viewing modern world conflicts, in which we attribute these conflicts to the constrasting cultural traits of each civilization, we have come up with a website to aid their understanding, through interactivity and a series of engaging activities, such as quizzes and games.
