The Islamic Civilization

Introduction

Countries with a predominant Muslim population or in which politics and daily practices are dominated by Islam are being referred collectively as part of the Islamic Civilization. The Islamic Civilization consists of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Iran, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia etc. These countries are spread out over the world, with countries in South East Asia, Eastern Europe and Southern Europe being part of the Islamic Civilization.

Unlike other civilizations, this civilization is defined along the lines of religion, though the split of Islam into Sunni and Shia is ignored. Politics and cultural traits are Islam dominated in this civilization, and religious beliefs often take the centre stage when we discuss about relationships between the Islamic Civilization and other civilizations.
