About Us
|
| This website was
made by three girls, ages 12 and 13. They are Kathy, Kelly and
Esmé. Kathy and Kelly go to middle school together, while
Esmé is home schooled. They decided to do this topic because
Kathy and Kelly had an enormous interest in the legends around the
Waverly Sanitarium. This lead them to an interest in Tuberculosis.
Esmé wanted to do Tuberculosis for a topic because she likes to
learn about diseases, and about worldwide issues. Kathy made the following pages: What is TB?, Treatments, How is TB Spread?, and Symptoms. This is the third year that she has been in ThinkQuest. Kathy specializes in pages requiring less research and typing. She was most interested in the treatment of Tuberculosis. Esmé made the following pages: Famous People and History of Tuberculosis. This is her first time being in ThinkQuest, she hopes she will come back next year. She was the backbone of our research process, and typed the most of all of us. Kelly made the following pages: Bovine TB, New Mexico State Sanitarium, Waverly Hills Sanitarium, Montana state Sanitarium and What is a Sanitarium. This is her second year on ThinkQuest. Kelly really likes to make her pages exiting and emotional. She prefers to write many pages on the same subject. HERB: If you have not noticed, the background of our pages is a green, fuzzy, stuffed, curved cylinder named Herb. He is a stuffed animal version of a Mycobacterium tuberculosis germ. He is our fuzzy, six inch long mascot. He is lots of fun. |
