  •  Do you have any other comments? (below are a few comments)
    • Don't usually watch environmental films unless someone gives it to me or I see it on Discovery channel. Does using rough paper a habit cause that's my only real "eco-friendly" habit.
    • It is difficult for the government to make people practise the 3Rs
    • The problem with this issue is that most of us all know it, but we don't do anything to help because: 1. Either we can't be bothered or it isn't absolutely important to us. 2. The general sentiment is that it's good, but somehow appears 'uncool'.
    • The problems on the Earth are far too much.
    • We should respect each other’s point of view towards saving the Earth. Some people think that earth is really just a place to spend the living. It is just a place to enjoy the journey of life so you cannot say people waste products; it is just because they wanted to make use of this stuff so they can have a wonderful lifetime and not going to heaven without enjoying earth first. You cannot put them to jail if they do not want to help the Earth, isn't true? Others may think that we should reduce, reuse and recycle, but I think that for example we recycle 20 million tons of plastic each day for everyone on earth, but still, factories and power plants in the whole wide world used up 20 million tons of fossil fuels at the same time, so are we really helping Earth? How can we save the Earth? It is a big problem. For example the ozone layer has holes now and trapping 20% of the Sun's energy, when we recycle, reduce, reuse, are we really helping because the holes are still there, not as if we can stitch up the holes or anything, the atmosphere is still trapping tons of heat energy even if we do the 3r's, by then, the Earth will have a extreme high temperature like Venus. Another point is that, even if we save the Earth, there may be other disasters destroying the Earth, like asteroids. Scientists say that by a few decades more, there will be a nearing asteroid there may have the possibility to crash on earth, resulting in massive destruction. It is also said that by 2.5 billion years, the Sun is going to "explode" and "consuming" the earth as a result. All these disasters are very serious as they can cause the Earth to be vanished, so anyway the earth is going to "die" should we give a helping hand? You may say that by saving Earth at least we can help the Earth "live" longer or let our sons and daughters to have a chance to live, but the Earth is going to die sooner or later, maybe after 2.5 billions years or so, we will still be vanished. Although this may be the case, to me, I will still help the Earth, as it is our home, there is no reason to destroy our own "house" so we must protect it.
    • We could help in reduction of wastage of natural resources by rationing, e.g. each household should be limited to usage of certain amount of water, electricity, petrol, etc monthly. This measures may caused a lot of inconvenience to consumers, however, critical situation needs harsh measures to be introduced. Otherwise, we can never win the fight against global warming. Not really. But I think that although we sort of want to help in preventing global warming and everything, it is really hard to suddenly change our habit of like maybe bathing for an hour and a half.
