After students had finished going through the main topics in this
website, they can also try out our crossword puzzles and quizes, to
test their knowledge.
Teachers can organise a discussion, on a small or
large scale. From a discussion, we can look at a different propective

understand more about environmental issues and improve their
Teachers should get about 5-7 students, with 1
student as a host. The host have to host
the whole discussion, meaning that he need to guide and "look after"
the whole discussion and also ensure that the discussion does not die
or be "out of topic". He/she needs to make sure that the
audience maintain disclipline.
The rest of the 4-6 students shall act as the "debaters". They shall
each play a role. For example, if the topic of the discussion is "Does
saving the Earth actually harms the economics and industry?", the 4-6
students shall act out different roles, such as a government offical,
an environmentalist, an economist, a businessman and the working
people. Then, each shall discuss whether saving the Earth actually
harms the economics and industry, based on the propective of the role a
student is playing.
The "debaters" should use their own knowledge to state the beneftis and
harms of the topic. They can also provide good suggestions to the topic
that they are discussing.
Teachers can get the rest of the class to be the audience of the
discussion. The audience basically listens to the whole discussion and
then voice their queries after each characters had finished their

2) The debaters shall first start to elaborate and discuss about their
views and arguements on the topic.
3) After all the role-player/debaters had finished their speech, the
discussion is open to the audience. Audience can ask questions or
discuss with the debaters about their views.
4) After everything had ended, the host shall sum up and do a summary
of the points and views that they had mentioned.
After the students had finished learning about this topic, the teachers
can sum up the whole course with an assignment or project work. Project
work can encourage the students to make use of what they had
Students should form groups of 4-5 and begin to research on their
ideas. You can look through our website and come up with a survey,
interview, book reviews, game design, news article log and more. Below
are a few ideas that we have for you.

Just like we have done, you can conduct an interview with a professor,
your teacher or others. The interview could consist of questions like:

think the government is doing enough to help protect and save the
The interview could either be a face-to-face one or an email interview.
Make an appointment with the person for an interview. You can bring a
recorder if you are interviewing the person face-to-face.
After the interview is conducted, sum up and do a conclusion on what
have you learnt and your reflections from this interview. You can share
your experience with your class.

You can also conduct a survey with your classmates or friends to learnt
more about their views. Examples of such questions can be found in our SURVEY
You should set around 5-15 questions. However, do
not make it too long or people will find it very boring.
After you have completed your survey, you can do a summary of the
results using graphs or piecharts. Then, analysis the results.
Do you know that there are some websites that you can use to conduct
your surveys? These sites help to tabulate the results too.
3) Book /
You can too watch a few movies, read a few books on environmental
issues and review on them.
Things you should include:
1) Title and author
2) Why will you recommand this book to your friends
3) Your reflections and summary
4) Some parts of the movie or book that you like very much and why
After finishing your review, perhaps you will like to present your
review to your friends.
4) Game Design
You can also design a game based on the environmental topics. You can
either choose to create a actionscript game or a Quiz. However,
remember to create a game that brings on a environmental messenge and
help to create awareness.
Good Luck in your project! However, remember to citate and credit
sources that you used in your project.
