In the movie, Al Gore lets us know about some of the disasters that had happened recently all around the world. He explained that most of these disasters (e.g. flooding, heat waves, abnormal climate) are actually caused by global warming, and significant climate changes that are happening all around the world. He has also discussed ways of preventing global warming and how helpful they are in helping the situation. Economical changes due to Global Warming are also discussed.

Live Earth

On 7th July 2007, a 24-hour non-stop concert was held worldwide in many countries (7 different locations across the world) such as London, New York, Shanghai. This event was called “Live earth”. Its purpose is to fight, prevent climate changes, and spread the message that we should protect our own environment. All money collected from the concert will be donated to help battle global warming. During the concert, there were more than 100 bands and singers performing.

Al Gore was the one who thought of the idea for Live Earth, as there were also concerts in the past that were held to promote the idea that we must prevent global warming and others. During the concert, people were asked to take a pledge saying that they will promise to help save our Earth whenever they can. This also reminds us that we should find a solution, or else Earth will be in danger. The Live Earth concert is certainly different from other concerts, as renewable energy had been used to power the whole event.

Although the event/concert is already over, you can still get the DVD. If you enjoy listening to music, get the DVD! I am sure you will enjoy it!!
