Factbox
Did U Know?
On average, a person in the US uses energy two times more than a person in Japan or West Germany does, and 50 times more than a person in India.

What does it mean do be “eco-friendly”? The answer is simple. Being eco-friendly simply means doing things that do not harm the environment in any way. An example is buying refridgerators that do not contain any amount of chlorofluorocarbons. Because purchasing a refrigerator that contains CFC harms the environment, buying a separate refrigerator that does not contain CFC is considered being eco-friendly. There are also many other things that we do that are considered eco-friendly.

The above picture shows an eco-friendly product, a bag. Instead of the following the traditional way of using plastic bags, using these kinds of bags to carry groceries and other food products help the environment. This is a good way in being eco-friendly. Because so many plastics bags are produced and thrown away everyday, there is a lot of pollution and thus, using grocery bags help conserve the Earth.

This could be the first step in which we help protect the Earth, so, we should all switch to using grocery bags instead of plastic bags. Though easier said than done, as long as we re willing to play our part, we all can help the Earth.
