Tips for a Book Talk:
- You should never book talk a book you haven't read
- Don't ever give away any of the good parts
- Keep the book talk short and exciting
- You should use a cliff hanger when you can
You Could:
- Read a part of the book (excerpt)
- Share about the characters, part of the plot, and the setting (narrative)
- Become one of the main characters in the book (first person)
Some Types:
- Slide Show- use pictures and words to tell about the book, you can be creative and add your voice too
- Live Action- you can write a skit or act out a part of the book
- Mixed Media- you can combine slide shows and live action
- Written- write your book talk in paragraph form. This can be put in a newsletter or posted on a bulletin board.
