Hey, all you fairy tale lovers, if you are looking for an amazing book, read The Fairytale Detectives by Michael Buckley. This fantasy about two sisters, Daphne and Sabrina, is a part of the Sisters Grimm Series. Daphne and Sabrina are foster-children, adopted by their grandmother, who they believed was dead. Their parents told the sisters that their grandma was dead because they did not want the children to find out what Granny was really up to. When they meet her, she tells them that fairy tales are real. At first Sabrina doesn't believe her but then strange things begin to happen.
They join Granny Relda and Mr. Canis on a trip to the hospital to check on Mr. Applebee, a local farmer, who swore he saw a giant, who crushed him and his house. After they visited the hospital they got in their car and out of nowhere a giant lifted them off the ground and took their granny. Can the two sisters find their granny in time before the giant kills her and her friend Mr. Canis?
You can find out by reading about their crazy adventure. You won't believe all the fairy tale characters they run into on the way. This book completely captured me and I couldn't stop reading it. I recommend this book for third, fourth and fifth graders because it is awesome!
