Do you love books with descriptive captions and hilarious pictures? If you said yes then read Suddenly Alligator, an adverb- filled tale written by Rick Walton and illustrated by Jim Bradshaw.
It all starts out when a young boy slowly walks to town to buy a new pair of socks (the ones he has are extremely stinky and three months old!). He comes across lots of little things he has lost like his rusty bugle and his dad's pliers. When suddenly he trips over a long, scaly tail... of an alligator... he finds out how important his stuff really is. Will even his stinky socks come in handy?
This book has lots of adverbs and is a great read-aloud. I liked this book because of the suspenseful pages and funny illustrations. I recommend this book for first grade and up and rate it 4 leaves. So, if your searching for a hilarious, fun, and exciting picture book, make sure you locate Suddenly Alligator written by Rick Walton and illustrated by Jim Bradshaw.
