Why Solar Energy?
Why solar energy? People around the world ask why it is so important. The fact these citizens don't understand is that they use solar energy almost all the time! NASA is also interested in solar energy because it is a new discovery and much more is to be known. We have only covered the basics like what is solar energy, how to collect solar energy, and how solar energy can be used. Solar energy is more than just "power from the sun". It's what this world needs and so NASA is going deeper into space and the sun to find out the other secrets in depth of our solar system. Solar energy has amazing abilities that no other energy is able to accomplish. It is able to be converted to energies like heat and thermal energy, electric energy, gas and fuel etc. and also solar energy does not pollute the air and all the power we have today is partly from solar power.
We are in reach with the sun because of solar energy. Solar energy pulls the gap between the Earth and the Sun closer than ever before. That is why solar energy is so important. No human has been able to discover how the sun is able to create such an energy form and with such capabilities. This is why solar power is NASA's biggest issues, concerns and focuses. To collect solar energy you need solar panels which withdraw the energy from the sun. Solar energy can power homes, stations, veichles and more. The most amazing ability of solar power is that a device known as "The Solar Dish" is able to change temperature around it. There is a tower called the solar power tower which can contain and store solar energy. NASA has solar panels on shuttles and on the ISS( The International Space Station) which collect solar energy. There is also a solar array which is alot of solar panels together collecting solar power in a group format.
Solar energy might even be used to power the latest shuttle that will take astronauts to Mars and the Moon. The Orion Shuttle it is the first of the new constellation series where all the shuttles will be named after constellation. This craft has simallar features to the Apollo 11 and will be finished on April 9th 2009. In 2014 it will be tested with astronauts inside the spacecraft. In the year of 2020 this aircraft will take astronauts to the Moon. Solar energy is doing so much for the world and some people don't know and don't care. They will be at a disadvantage since they probably don't know much about it. That is the anwser to people who ask "why solar energy?"
