What Is NASA?

The acronym NASA stands for the "National Aeronautics Space Administration". NASA is very famous for it's ability to discover more about the universe. NASA specializes in Solar Energy, launching shuttles, making far distance travels to different planets and more. NASA has a great history. It has suffered many horrifying moments along with some terrific discoveries. NASA is an incredible company and it has a good reputation for that reason. NASA has launched many shuttles and satellites to other planets to observe the area. These shuttles have people in it and they observe the planet. It might be very dangerous and risky job, but is really worth it. You can either get very famous and make a huge discovery or just do a good job and get paid the fair amount. Before a real flight, there is a test flight which includes the real pressure of a real flight.

Solar energy and satellites are very important to us. Thanks to NASA, we have access to solar energy now. In space we can't rely on gas for the ride, it wont last long. There is also no gas stations in space so don't get your hopes up. One way of powering a shuttle is solar energy. It is getting very useful now that gas prices have gone up. Solar energy can be used for satellites also. They are used for connection to earth from space. That is why we use solar energy for spacecrafts and other reasons. A new way to power a spacecraft is nuclear energy. It may be very useful but you have to be careful with it. It is valuable and some really bad things can happen if your spacecraft has a leak and it is powered with nuclear energy. On NASA's new spacecraft that is still in the making called the Orion has a chance of using either solar energy or nuclear energy. These two will power the Orion and it's crew members to the moon, mars and beyond!

Spacecrafts that are soon to come is the Constellation Series. The spacecrafts that are in the constellation series are The Orion, Ares 1 and Ares V. The Orion will be launched on launch pad 39B. The test flight is on 2014 and the cruise to the moon mars and beyond is on 2020. The contractor of the Orion is Lockheed Martin. NASA is basically a company that delivers us information about space and gives us helpful resources and ideas. For example they discovered about solar energy and we thought it might be a good idea. Now the Orion has a reputation for victory. If someone might think that working in the International Space Station (ISS) might be really easy work, but is really a weight on your shoulder. You have to make sure that the floors are clean with no bacteria and you have to pitch in for the launch missions. One of the most hardest part of work you have to do is to make sure that the shuttle launches correctly and gets to it's destination. Even if there is only one mistake on the spacecraft, it can be a hazard dealing with that much trouble.
