Lunar Orion
In 2020 the Orion capsule will be launching up into space. It will then take 3 astronauts to the moon. For 50 years NASA has focused on inspiration, and discovery. From 1968 to 1972 NASA has had 9 trips to the moon, and has sent in, in total 24 astronauts, and 12 have set foot on the moon. NASA is going to send the Orion, to the moon to explore the moon and not only that, but also to find out how to live, and work on the moon. NASA is going to prepare themselves for our next step into the Solar System. On the moon we will also find a way to find the moon's poles. That way we can find a way to live on the moon.
Hopefully the Orion will be the shuttle that will bring all of the items that will make up the Lunar Base. Later the Orion will be returning to space to go to Mars. Was there actually water on Mars at one time, who knew. The Orion will go to Mars to answer all of the questions mankind is asking right now. The red planet (Mars) can one day be our home, since the fact that there is actually a thin layer of atmosphere in it.
The Orion is shaped like the Apollo 11 for a reason. The Apollo 11 was the first spacecraft to go to the moon. NASA has decided to make the design of the Orion a replica of the Apollo 11. Except that the Orion is a little bit bigger than the Apollo 11 and is more updated on the technology. Accompanying the Orion will be the Ares I and Ares V. This will be a huge step up from NASA when the Orion and the Ares are launched and destined for the moon, mars and beyond!
