Introduction

NASA is in the middle of creating the new Constellation series and beginning with the Orion spacecraft. This shuttle along with project Ares will go to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Solar power is energy from the Sun and nuclear power is made from uranium and other resources. Solar power on the other hand is the future of energy and the problem is the Earth is running out of natural resources and oil. Nuclear power is also helping with the future of energy. Solar and nuclear energy might eventually power all the spacecsrafts in Mission Orion.

Solar energy is very important. We need a new source of energy and solar energy is on the top of the list. It would be easy to convert it by using solar panels and storing it in solar power towers. In the future it is hoped that solar energy will be used for powering cars, houses and more. Solar energy can also be used for changing temperature. The world is in desperate need of energy. This energy is very easy to collect and convert which helps a lot.

Constellation Shuttles can also help in the search to learn more about space, information needed for future exploration. The Constellation Shuttle Orion will give us an inside scoop on the many mysteries of space. Orion in the Constellation fleet can help by going to the moon, Mars and beyond. This information can hopefully help by telling us if humans can live on Mars or not. This will be a major success for NASA if they find out more about Mars. The Orion Shuttle will be launched no later than 2014 scheduled now from launch pad 39B. It hopes to go to the moon no later than 2020 with astronauts in it. The first test flight is scheduled for April 8th, 2009.

You may think nuclear energy is harmful, but in some ways it is not. France has been using nuclear energy successfully and it has powered their houses with electricity and more. Over 75% of France is currently using nuclear energy and they are even selling the extra energy they produce to other European countries. China is also heading towards the use of nuclear energy and has nuclear power providing energy now (although they are just beginning). They have joined the move to sell energy from nuclear power embracing and energy source that other countries shun. It is important to state that nuclear power has many hazards and safety in producing nuclear energy is a controversial issue. This was made clear when the U.S. had a nuclear power plant problem as did Russia in Chernobyl which resulted in great contamination of a large area of land.
