Who is Lockheed Martin?

Dont you ever wonder who the person is who is always creating the new planes, and the spy-planes the military uses in combat? It turns out that he wasn't just a contractor for space-shuttles, but he also created, built and designed the planes we use today including jets, and war-planes.

Lockheed Martin is the world's #1 military contractor. Lockheed Martin is resposible for making the miltary air-crafts we use today in the military. What im trying to say is that without him we wouldn't have the the blackbird, and most of the helicpters we use today. One of the planes that he built was the F-117 NIGHTHAWK this jet fighter was one of his most brilliant acomplishments. This extroardinary plane was first used in operation desert storm. The military realized how much damage it could, and how easily it could camoflage into the night that it became one of the most famous jet-fighters.

It is know to be the first form of stealth. It was also know for its capability to carry multiple numbers of missiles at a time. One of the most brilliant planes that Lockheed Martin's company designed was the P-3 Orion. This place is magestic, and was both helpful in the Cold-War. This plane is most well suited for patrol, and was used to find submarines in the post Cold-War. This is were it gets awesome, the P-3 Orion has infrared, and long-range electro-optical cameras allowing it to see farther than the usual planes. It's Allison T56-A-14 engines can fly at almost any possible altitude.In addition it is also used for peace-keeping, when the Civil War flared the P-3 Orion was the eyes, and ears of the forces protecting the U.S. Embassy.

Lockheed Martin hit big-time when he made the T-50 Golden Eagle. This is a supersonic jet trainer and it was created by Lockheed Martin Aeoronautics Company, and the Korea Aerospace Industries.Lockheed Martin is the principal subcontractor and he is responsible for the wings, flight controls, and avionics. This aircraft is supersonic capable of making high G turns, and employs fully integrated avionics. The T-50 prepares student-pilots by teaching them the characteristics of supersonic flight, transonic manuevarability, and state-of-the-art avionics. This trainer jet plane will prepare future pilots to ride jets like the F-22 and the Joint Strike Fighter.

The C-5 GALAXY can carry 2 M1 Main Battle Tanks weighing over 135,400 each, not to mention an infantry vehicle, and a quarter million-pounds of relief support. All of that can be carried inside of just one plane, the C-5 Galaxy. This is one of the biggest planes ever made in history.

This plane could fly for an unlimited range because of it's ability of arial refueling.On top of all that he has done for the country, his latest creation is nowhere near as cool as this... he is making shuttle that is called the Orion. It is destined take astronauts to the moon in 2020. Lockheed Martin was working with Northrop Grumman another contractor the Lockheed Martin Corporation was alleged to make it. The Orion shuttle will have the same appeareance as the Apollo 11.
